Deaths in Franciscan Communities

The Province is mourning the passing of three friars.

Two members of Sacred Heart Province, based in the Midwest have died. Br. Gregory Bumm, OFM, 74, died on June 24 in Manitowoc, Wis., and Br. Leon Beranek, OFM, 81, died on June 22 in Elmhurst, Il.

Fr. Terence Rhoades, OFM, 99, of Our Lady of Guadalupe Province, died July 11 in Gallup, N.M. He was the oldest member of his province.
