Deaths in Franciscan Communities

During recent weeks, three Franciscans have passed to eternal life.

Br. Callistus Welch, OFM, a member of the Custody of the Holy Land, died on Oct. 14. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 16 at the Monastery of Mount St. Sepulchre in Washington.

Fr. Boniface Reidman, SA, a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, Garrison, N.Y, and a resident of Holy Name Friary, Ringwood, N.J., died Sept. 25.

Fr. Tod Laverty, OFM, 69, a member of St. John the Baptist Province, died Sept. 21 in Kingston, Ontario. A Mass of Christian Burial offered Sept. 30 in Detroit was described in the SJB News Notes newsletter.
