Amanecer Founder Dies

Friars who studied Spanish in Cochabamba, Bolivia, may have come in contact with Amanecer and its founder, Hna. Estafanía Murray, who passed away Feb. 16 at the age of 85.

Community Center Opens in Durham

Five years ago, David McBriar, then the pastor of Durham's Immaculate Conception Church, envisioned a gymnasium and community center, where the church's parochial school students and neighborhood families could learn and play.

Siena Students Assist During Break

Twenty Siena College students and their advisor, Edward LaRow, plan to travel to Mississippi March 11-18, where they'll spend spring break assisting at a distribution center and helping with general debris cleanup in Biloxi, one of the areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
