CAMDEN, N.J. – On April 8, more than 40 parishioners from St. Anthony of Padua Church participated with members of 93 other Camden churches in the second Annual Camden Prayer Walk.
The weather could not have been worse – rain, wind, and temperatures in the 40s – but nothing could dampen our enthusiasm. We assembled with approximately 1,000 other pray-ers at Antioch Baptist Church, and then we were sent back to our neighborhood to pray in four different locations.
Camden has been named the most violent city in the nation the past two years, and the Prayer Walk was designed to have people praying on every block in every neighborhood of the city.
