Boston Shrine Offers Workshop to Stimulate the Creative Process

BOSTON – St. Anthony Shrine here is fostering spiritual and creative growth through a six-part series on spirituality and the arts, beginning Feb. 28. Friars and guest speakers will discuss how they integrate the creative process into their spiritual lives. 

Topics include gardening, painting, calligraphy, quilting, and cooking. The last session will encourage participants to try their hands at creating their own work of art.

All are invited, regardless of experience, for one or all sessions. Sessions take place on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, 5 to 6:30 p.m.

March 13: Our Daily Bread and Divine Feasts, Dwayne Fernandes, OFM
March 27: The Colors of the Spirit, Michael Parise, OFM
April 10: Patchwork and Piecing: Connecting the Spiritual Dimensions of Our Lives, Barry Langley, OFM
April 24: Calligraphy of the Heart, Deborah Dyer
May 8: Try Your Hand: Doodling and Drawing, Katie Anderson

Wine and cheese will be served; suggested donation is $5 per session.
