Adult Ed Program to Begin at 31st Street

Kevin Tortorelli Around the Province

NEW YORK – The Lent/Easter program of the St. Francis of Assisi Adult Education Program on 31st Street is set to begin shortly.

There are 14 courses on offer, mostly on catechetical themes together with opportunities for growing in prayer and in the spiritual dimensions of personal wholeness. There is a quite extensive series on women, on health issues and on family life offered in collaboration with St. Francis Outreach (Marie Harrington, Director).

The teachers are a blend of six friars together with religious and a good number of laity. Courses are offered through the work week, usually around the noon hour, and early evenings.
