Thom is no stranger to the Franciscans, having served with the Province’s Franciscan Volunteer Ministry at St. Francis Inn in Philadelphia prior to joining the Province’s formation program. He is also a graduate of Siena College, where he became acquainted with the friars and began to understand the many opportunities and complexities of Franciscan life and ministry. He feels called to dedicate his life to helping others through direct service to the poor and marginalized.
Br. Daniel Cruz, OFM
Prior to joining the Franciscan friars, Daniel worked as a distribution supervisor for TJX Companies in Athens, Ga. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2017 from the University of Carolina, having double-majored in marketing and management science with a minor in international studies.
Daniel feels called to the priesthood. Before joining the friars, he enjoyed working with confirmation classes at the University of Georgia’s Catholic Center. He is interested in joining the Franciscans because of their care for the poor, social justice work, hospitality, and community life.
