Br. Luis Rosado, OFM
Br. Luis has a background in paramedic studies and has worked for Essex County in New Jersey as an emergency medical technician (EMT).
He received his associate's degree in criminal justice from the School of Criminal Justice in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, after earning his certification in emergency medicine from Ponce Technical School in Puerto Rico.
Before moving to the Orlando, Fla., area, Br. Luis was an active member of St. Aloysius Parish in Newark, N.J., where he served as a maintenance worker and sacristan.
After the earthquake in Haiti, Br. Luis volunteered to be a medical assistant there and attended to patients, delivered babies, and assisted in the emergency room.
Br. Luis learned about the Franciscan Friars of Holy Name Province through online research. He is attracted to the Franciscans because of their ministerial outreach and their fraternal community spirit.
