Br. Ian Grant, OFM

Br. Ian came to the friars at the suggestion of his spiritual director, who recommended that he open a dialogue with the Franciscans.

Before beginning Holy Name Province's Franciscan Postulancy Program, Br. Ian worked as an office manager for the Diocese of Trenton, N.J., and as a case manager at Anchor House – an agency whose mission is to work with abused, homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth. There, he helped children and teens who were victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking.

Br. Ian feels a connection with the Franciscans' life in community as they seek to bring the Church to those who need it most. He is especially inspired by the friars who walk in the footsteps of Christ in active service to the poor.

In addition to his work and ministry with the diocese and Anchor House, Br. Ian served with his parish's RCIA and religious education teams, taught Confirmation prep, and served as a Eucharistic minister.
