Br. William Wagner, OFM, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 25, 1910. He was received into the novitiate at St. Bonaventure Church in Paterson, N.J., on Jan. 21, 1931, and professed temporary vows Jan. 23, 1932.

He died less than four months later, in Paterson, on May 15, 1932. He was 21 years old, and a professed friar for almost four months.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
