Symphorian Daly, OFM
1881 – 1908
Br. Symphorian Daly, OFM, was born Dec. 31, 1881 in Caherciveen, Ireland. He came to the United States and lived in Providence, R.I. A member of the first graduating class of St. Joseph’s Seraphic Seminary, he was received into the novitiate in 1906.
He professed temporary vows on Sept. 7, 1907 and died seven months later in Buffalo on April 7, 1908. Br. Symphorian was 26 years old, a professed friar for less than one year.
