Salvador Miranda, OFM

1957 – 2004

Br. Salvador Miranda, OFM, was born Oct. 5, 1957 in San Vincente, El Salvador. Before coming to the United States, he was affiliated to the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe in El Salvador. He left the province and moved to Port Washington, N.Y., where a spiritual director guided him to Holy Name Province.

He was received into the Order in 1999, professing simple vows one year later. Br. Salvador then moved to Parroquia Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, Lima, Peru. He died on March 13, 2004 at the Friary of the Most Holy Name of Jesus in Lima. Br. Salvador was 47 years old, a professed friar for three years.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
