Br. Paulinus Hughes, OFM, was born in Brighton, Mass., on March 16, 1908.

He entered Holy Name Province’s novitiate at St. Bonaventure Friary in Paterson, N.J., on Aug. 16, 1927, and professed temporary vows on his deathbed on June 30, 1928.

Br. Paulinus died July 2, 1928 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Hoboken, N.J. He was 20 years of age at the time of his death.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
