1927 – 1974
Br. Norbert Christastie, OFM, was born on March 23, 1927 in Elmira, N.Y. He entered the novitiate at St. Bonaventure Friary, Paterson, N.J., in 1950, professing temporary vows one year later. Br. Norbert made his solemn profession in 1954.

He enjoyed his work in the kitchen and became a model of simplicity and joyfulness for the theology students whom he fed daily.
