Br. Leo Brophy, OFM, was born in Paterson, N.J., on Oct. 10, 1899.

In 1918, he was received as a tertiary brother at St. Bonaventure Friary in Paterson.

Br. Leo died in Paris, France, on Sept. 18, 1918. He was 18 years old.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
