Tertiary brother Ladislaus Uzymecki, OFM, was born in Likszeln, Poland, on June 20, 1861. He was received as a perpetual tertiary in 1907 and made his profession as a tertiary brother in 1908.

He served the Province at St. Elizabeth’s Friary in Denver and St. Joseph’s in Winsted, Conn., until his death in New York City on Aug.18, 1923.

Br. Ladislaus was 62 years old and a professed tertiary brother for 15 years.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
