Br. Edward Pfleger, OFM, was born May 26, 1936 in Watertown, Mass. After completing his studies at St. Joseph’s Seraphic Seminary, Callicoon, N.Y., he was received into the novitiate at St. Raphael Novitiate, Lafayette, N.J.

He died during his novitiate year on Jan. 23, 1959 in Lafayette. Br. Edward was 22 years old.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
