Br. Daniel Schroers, OFM, was born in Paterson, N.J., on March 3, 1884.

He entered the Province’s novitiate on Aug. 15, 1908, and professed temporary vows the following year. He professed solemn vows Aug. 22, 1912.

Br. Daniel died Aug. 3, 1913, in New York City, a student of theology at the time of his death. He was 29 years old and a professed friar for just short of four years.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
