Fr. Cyril Foster, OFM, was born on March 6, 1876 in Tuckahoe, N.Y. He graduated from St. Bonaventure College, Allegany, N.Y., and entered the novitiate there in 1893. He professed temporary vows in 1894, made his solemn profession in 1898, and was ordained in 1901.

His brief priestly life was spent at St. Patrick’s Friary in Buffalo, N.Y., where he died on Nov. 24, 1906. Fr. Cyril was 30 years old, a professed friar for 11 years and a priest for four years.

Each of us should be called a lesser brother, a Friar Minor. Each one of us should wash the feet of the others.”
