BOSTON — On Sept. 6, members of the spiritual direction team from the Chapel Center in Providence, R.I., joined the spiritual direction staff and advisory board member of Saint Anthony Shrine here for a day of prayer and reflection.

The day began with an opening prayer. Following prayer, the group engaged in reflective sharing, quiet time and meditation. The day closed with a brief ceremony of recommitment to the ministry of spiritual direction, symbolized with the breaking and sharing of bread.

One spiritual director from Providence, said, “The sharing today was the true meaning of the breaking of the bread.”

John Maganzini, OFM,
vicar of St. Anthony Shrine, said, “This day of sharing provided a real ‘boost’ in ministry.”
