NEW YORK — “Our Evangelizing Mission as Friars” is the theme for two friar retreats sponsored by the Province early next year, at friaries in Florida and New Jersey.
Russell Becker, OFM, the Province missions promoter and secretary for missionary evangelization, is the preacher.
The retreats take place:
· Jan. 18 to 21 at St. Anthony Friary, St. Petersburg, Fla.
· Feb. 1 to 4, at St. Anthony Friary in Butler, N.J.
Both begin at 6 p.m.
Cost of the retreats is $200, payable to St. Anthony Friary. Friars are asked to make reservations through James Toal, OFM, for the Florida event, and John Mahon, OFM, for the Butler retreat.
Several other friar events are planned for the new year including the Feb. 8 – 10 preaching workshop, sponsored by the HNP Evangelization Directorate.
